Curriculum Context

Students develop and maintain a learning portfolio throughout their 3 years at RC.  Portfolio enhances student learning and provides a framework for life-long learning.  



Course Description

RCLP 1010 Formative Learning Portfolio I
Portfolio Module I introduces students to the role and purpose of learning portfolios, the concept and development of self-analysis and its application to growth and competency in each of the six Renaissance College Learning Outcomes. Students create formative portfolios using evidence from their RC courses, elective courses, their extra-curricular activities, and their formal learning activities. RC Faculty members assess Portfolios and a mark of CR/NCR is awarded in the second term of the first year.


Qualifications

Masters Degree or equivalent experience.

Candidates should be committed to an interdisciplinary perspective and active approach to educating students in interdisciplinary studies.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching ability and work as part of a team to apply RC's student assessment model.
