Curriculum Context

This 2nd year leadership course focuses on cross cultural communication and its affect on leadership processes within and between cultures.  This course is for people pursuing a minor or certificate in Leadership Studies.



Course Description

 

 
RCLP 3002 Practicing Leadership in Cross-Cultural Contexts (Fredericton Campus) 3 ch (M/S)
Students will study and practice leadership in global and cross-cultural contexts. They will engage in virtual and cross-cultural projects and study and reflect on the impact of cultural differences and diversity on leadership processes. The course will focus on developing student skills in virtual and cross-cultural communication and cooperation. The main course outcomes will enhance student growth and competency in the Knowing-Self-And-Others and Social-Interaction (primary) as well as to the Multi-Literacy (secondary) learning outcomes of Renaissance College.


Qualifications

Masters Degree or equivalent experience.

In addition to competence in cross cultural leadership, candidates should be committed to student learning within RC’s teaching and learning environment which includes high order, deep learning; creating an environment that challenges and expects challenge; is integrative; is outcomes oriented; and contributes to students’ leadership ability.
