 This second year course develops the students knowledge in the scientific world view from a philosophical,  theoretical and practical perspective.

Course Description

 

RCLP 1042 Natural Science, Technology and Society (Fredericton Campus) 3 ch (M/P C/S) Introduces the learner to the great ideas of natural science and explores their impact on our thinking, attitudes, models, technologies and society. Topics will include: the scientific method and ways of knowing about our world; philosophical implications of science; important technical innovations, their scientific basis, and their impact on society.

Qualifications

 Masters Degree or at least equivalent experience.

In addition to competence in Natural Science the candidate should be committed to student learning, use active approaches to educating students. The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching ability and a strong interest in working with RC's teaching model. They need to work with other instructors to make sure the course complements concurrent courses.
