KUDOS FOR VOLUNTEERS

As with most herbaria we look to volunteers to help with many of the day to day operations. The Connell Memorial Herbarium has been blessed by the involvement of a number of dedicated volunteers. Dr. C. Mary Young has been particularly generous with her time and expertise during the course of her 25+ years of association with the herbarium. The Herbarium has benefitted greatly from the enthusiasm and knowledge of Dr. Jim Goltz and has expanded significantly, of late, from specimens donated by Gart Bishop of B&B Botanicals and Sean Blaney of the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals in specimen mounting, georeferencing of specimens, herbarium restructuring and in sorting through the older specimens of the algal wing.
HERBARIUM DONORS

A fund to promote Plant and Algal Taxonomic Research at UNB has been established. Many thanks to the following donors:
  • Dolores and Gary Saunders
  • Sandy Craft

  • Christie and Stephen Heard
