Information for Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the 184th Encaenia ceremonies on May 29 and 30 as members of the academic honour guard and procession.
If you wish to participate, RSVP by May 8 to Tina Madore indicating which ceremony(ies) you plan to attend. Space is limited and seats will be assigned to faculty and staff according to the dates t heir emails are received.
Academic attire must be reserved in advance
Those faculty and staff members who require academic attire must reserve online by May 8.
Academic attire for faculty and staff will be available for pick up at the Currie Center in the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, ground floor, as follows:
• Ceremony A, Wednesday, May 29, 7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
• Ceremony B, Wednesday, May 29, noon – 1:45 p.m.
• Ceremony C, Thursday, May 30, 7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
• Ceremony D, Thursday, May 30, noon – 1:45 p.m.
Please return academic attire to the gown room (RJCC ground floor) by 6 p.m. on the day of the ceremony you are attending. If you are attending ceremonies on both May 29 and 30, please keep the attire between ceremonies and return by 6 p.m. on May 30.
Honour Guard
Faculty and staff will form an Honour Guard at the Currie Center under the direction of the Faculty Marshal, Kathy Waugh, 30 minutes before the start of each ceremony.
