The Orientation Session

It is very important that graduates attend the orientation session preceding their graduation ceremony. Led by the University Marshal, the sessions provide students with information ranging from the proper way to wear your academic hood to the degree-granting procedure.

The Encaenia Card

This is the card from which your name will be read out as you cross the stage to graduate. In addition to your name, it will contain a number to ensure that you are lined up and seated in the correct order.

The Rain Plan

In the event of rain, orientation for graduates will begin exactly one hour before the start of each ceremony at the South Gym. The Encaenia cards will also be distributed at this location at the times specified above. If you are in doubt, go to the SUB first. Signs will be posted there and notices aired on local radio stations, if you are to go the South Gym.
