Scholarships and awards

Offered by NBIF (New Brunswick Innovation Foundation) with funding from the provincial government there are Graduate Scholarships available for both Masters and Doctoral studies. Scholarships range from $4000 to $7000 a year, for more infromation about this scholarship program click HERE

As well, UNB offers generous scholarships and awards to students in all areas of graduate study. Our students earn more national graduate fellowships than any other university in Atlantic Canada.

Our financial aid offices in Fredericton and Saint John can help you understand your costs and identify different funding options, including New Brunswick and Canada student loan programs.

Part-time jobs

Work-Study program provides part-time on-campus employment during fall and winter terms.

External funding

The Office of Research Services supports faculty members and researchers on both campuses by providing support services for grant and contract preparation and submission.
