Giving to UNB

Beyond the classroom

This spring, mechanical engineering student Drew Robart was presented with the Rod Shoveller Memorial Award from the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association. The award recognizes students who have made significant contributions to sports and to the community.

Drew, a member of UNB Saint John’s basketball team in 2015-16, has been an active volunteer both on and off campus. Both the Global Brigades, the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization, and the KV Oasis Youth Centre, a youth centre for mental health which provides activities, guidance services and leadership workshops for youth in the Kennebecasis Valley area, have benefitted from his energy, enthusiasm and abilities.

“Over the last few years, I have felt the need to be thankful for everything I have been given, and this includes scholarship support,” said Robart. “UNB got me to where I am today.”

Donor support of scholarships and bursaries creates the opportunities that students like Drew need to succeed. Explore what you can support at UNB. It begins here. It begins with you.
