Financial aid

The financial aid office provides advice and financial aid to students requiring assistance to finance their university education.

A university education can be a significant financial undertaking. Every student is unique, and so are their financial backgrounds. We can help you explore all the financial options to create a financial plan that works for you. UNB financial aid is here to help you achieve that goal.

We provide information and assistance on:

  • bursaries and awards (non-repayable assistance)
  • work-study program (career-related on-campus part-time employment)
  • federal and provincial government student loan programs
  • preparing a budget and development a financial plan

Life as a university student is an exciting time but is not without its share of challenges, such as managing your money.

Where to find us

Saint John campus: The Financial Aid Office is located with Student Services on the ground floor of Philip W. Oland Hall – Room G15. Send your questions to finaidsj@unb.ca.

Fredericton campus: The Financial Aid Office is located on the first floor of the C.C. Jones Student Serivices Centre located at 26 Bailey Drive. Send your questions to finaid@unb.ca.

We are pleased to offer in-person and virtual services and support. Be sure to include (if available) your UNB Student ID in all correspondence with our office.
