Biology Outreach

Shad Valley - a national summer program designed to bring high school students together in one of the 12 host universities. The biology department has been involved for well over a decade. The labs offered have been challenging university level exercises, ranging from vertebrate dissections to population genetics using Darwin’s finches as a model.  

Nature NB (High School outreach program) - a biodiversity program that looks to educate young and old about the environment that we and wildlife live in. The project at UNB Biology "Inspiring New Botanists" is designed to show students how interesting botany can be, highlighting some interesting facts, prospective careers, and useful skillsthat botany can offer, hopefully encouraging them to pursue botany-related studies.

Science Days for NB Homeschoolers - Home Educators of New Brunswick (HENB) is a Christian organization which seeks to serve home educating families and local support groups in New Brunswick, regardless of religious affiliation.

Science Odyssey Girls Adventure Day - Hosted by Worlds UNBound, the adventure day is filled with interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities on the University of New Brunswick Fredericton campus.
