Hello my name is Mark Vangel and I am your new Science Student Union Representative for 2013-2014.

I wish to thank everyone in our faculty who supported my campaign to be your representative on the Student Union.

I look forward to doing all that I can to ensure your experience at UNB is the best it can be. It is my wish that you are successful here at UNB and if there is anything I can do, I will.

Do you have a question, concern, or suggestion? Never hesitate to be heard. It is my privilege to represent my fellow students and I will always listen.

I am entering into my second year here at UNB with a major in Environmental Geochemistry in the Earth Sciences Department. After a long hiatus from formal education I found my way back to school after a fun 13 years. Science was always a little daunting to me but it is a way for me to achieve the goal of being proud of the work I do.

There are so many resources available here it is hard not to succeed if you really want to. Beyond that, I am a relatively easy going guy who loves to talk and listen. I am married and a new dad with a son who was born in July, so if I look a little tired that may be something to consider. I am sure I will have pictures on me at all times if you want to see them.
