Outreach Safety
Beyond the enjoyment or education of the participants, safety is our utmost concern for outreach events. We ask that participants that come into our laboratories for an outreach event wear appropriate clothing such as long pants and closed-toed shoes, and other clothing that does not unnecessarily expose skin. If an organizer has any questions about appropriate attire for the particpants, please feel free to contact us.
We provide the particpants with laboratory coats, safety goggles and disposable nitrile gloves, and also give them a safety talk before they perform the experiment.
