Head prolonged forward into a distinct snout; with one pair of eyes; without large hind coxal plates	Curculionidae

Larval Coleoptera

Body oval and flattened with dorsal plates covering head and legs

Body tapered at ends, legs and tails long; abdomen has 8 segments; legs 5 segmented (claw excluded)

Abdomen with suture lines on segments 1 to 6 or 8, may be indistinct; mandibles not readily visible from above Legs 4 segmented (claw excluded)
