Room Assignments & Changes
We assign rooms on July 15. We’ll send your room information by email using your UNB address, unless you indicate otherwise on your Residence Reapplication Form.
If you have applied for a single room, please review Re-apply to Residence for the criteria on how we assign them.
We understand that your room assignment may not meet your needs. We are happy to meet your requests. Please contact your Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) to request a room change and wait until Residential Life approves it before you move. This helps keep your student account accurate, and will prevent your for being charged for unapproved room changes.
Room Change Fees
You will be charged for transferring rooms. You will need to pay your room change fee when you pick up your new keys. Any additional charges or credits resulting from your new room type and location will be posted to your account with Financial Services.
Priority for a Room Transfer
If you have special needs for a high-priority [expedited] room change, please explain this to your Residential Life Coordinator (RLC). You may need documentation of medical or other special needs. If you have not already done so, please complete the application for Special Needs/Consideration Form (PDF).
