About the House
The result of the 2006 combining of Neville House and Jones House — two of UNB's original men's residences — Neville/Jones was conceived as a single community that would preserve the spirit, traditions, and comradery that the original residences had each cultivated for over four decades.
Both Neville and Jones were excellent, well respected houses at UNB prior to the merger, and Neville/Jones has retained the best of what each had to offer. To reflect the new House and its unique circumstances, the Constitutions of Neville House and Jones House were each retired in early 2007, and the house ratified the new and first ever Neville/Jones Constitution. Neville Jones was on a hiatus for the 2010-2011 academic year and reopened in September 2011 as a coed residence.
We are recognized on campus as an energetic and vibrant group who do more than simply work hard at school. We donate our time and efforts to charity in our annual Bed Push, and we are also known to have a little bit of fun on and around campus from time to time.
In the spirit of their Neville tradition, the residents of Neville/Jones are known sometimes around campus as Norsemen, but, in the spirit of their Jones tradition, they are all Gentlemen or Gentlewomen first.
