If you're wondering what it's like to work for RLCCS in the summer, here's what some of our staff from previous years have said:
“Two summers with Conference Services proved to be a really great way to stay in Fredericton, earn money and learn more about our UNB Campus and its connection to the community. I met people from all over the world who found themselves at UNB for summer accommodations and worked with the team in UNB's hosting of camps, conferences and events. Joining the Conference Services team was a great way to spend the summer months of my undergad. I encourage anyone interested to go for it.”
- Russell Pollard (CPA 2012, CSA 2010, Summer Monitor 2010).
“ Working at Conference Services for the summer was a great experience! Every day was a new experience and gave you the opportunity to meet some really great people from all over the world. Whether you were assisting a student staying for the summer, someone travelling, or a group conference they each had their own unique stories that made lasting impressions. The campus truly comes alive during the summer months and is full of exciting events taking place daily. This opportunity not only gave me a chance to discover more about UNB and what is has to offer but also the community of Fredericton. I really enjoyed my experience here at Conference Services and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a fun and exciting way to spend their summer months.”
-Stephanie Craig (CSA 2012)
"Working on campus was a big eye opener for me. We seem to think that the University is empty during the summer months as the majority of students have gone home; but that is not that case at all! The campus is always flowing with people from all over the world who are here for conferences, reunions, or even just passing through. They were always reminding me of how beautiful our campus is, and what it has to offer to the students who attend it."
- Michael Carroll
"Working on campus for the summer is a fantastic experience. The campus is beautiful and comes alive in a whole different way during the summer months. People from all over the world come to study here, be involved in camps, vacation, or stop just stop in on their travels through-out the Maritimes. They leave lasting impressions with their crazy stories and ravings of how amazing the campus, as well as the city of Fredericton, really is. This experience changed my perspective not only on life here in Fredericton, but also here at UNB, and i would highly recommend it to anyone!"
