Incoming First-year Students/Transfer Students

  1. Once you receive your offer of admission to UNB, you may access the online residence application.

  2. Pay the non-refundable $500 Residence Application Fee. Payment for your Residence Applicaiton Fee can be made via credit card over the phone (506) 458-7174, by debit, cheque, cash or credit card at the Financial Services counter, or by online credit card through your eServices.  You can also pay by online banking. Fees paid using the online banking method also require an email that includes the students name and ID to be sent to Tammy Bartlett to advise her how you have paid to ensure that your payment is processed as an application fee.

  3. We will assign your room when we receive your residence application and your residence application fee. The sooner you send in your payment, the better your chances of getting a room in the residence of your choice. All students who submit their residence application and fee by May 15 are guaranteed a place in residence. Generally, first-year students are assigned double rooms - it's all part of the experience! The room assignment information will be accessible through your eServices on July 15.

The $500 residence application fee goes towards the total residence fees, but is non-refundable for any reason, regardless of when you cancel.

Graduate and Law Students

Graduate students can also access the online residence application. The same deadlines and fees apply.
