Built in 1829, Sir Howard Douglas Hall, commonly referred to as "The Old Arts Building", is the oldest university building still in continuous use in Canada.
The first lecture in Civil Engineering was offered here, earning it the distinction of being the “birthplace of Civil Engineering in Canada”.
