Dax (BKin’99) originally hails from mighty Miramichi. While at UNB, he was a member of the Varsity men’s hockey team, winning a national title in 1998. Responsible for Western New Brunswick, Dax continues his five-year recruitment career at U First, interacting with parents and students in making what he calls ‘one of life’s most important decisions.’ Married with two children, Dax is very involved with his children’s sports activities and spends his spare time coaching hockey.

Mike Wright

Tweet to @UNBF_MikeMike was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick and his UNB roots run deep; his father was a professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology for over 30 years. Mike returns to the U First team after completing his MBA in Sport and Recreation Management in May of 2012. He will be responsible for the Central, Northern, and Western parts of New Brunswick and he looks forward to educating both students and parents about the wonderful educational options that UNB has to offer. Away from the office, Mike helps out coaching a high school basketball team and enjoys golfing and the musical stylings of Bruce Springsteen.

Stacy (BBA’07) helped the UNB Varsity Reds win their second CIS Men’s Hockey Championship in 2007. Stacy, his wife and two children have lived in Fredericton for the last seven years, originally calling P.E.I. home. Joining U First as a recruiter four years ago, Stacy is a big believer that education is a priceless commodity. He interacts with countless students, parents, and guidance counsellors in Eastern N.B. and P.E.I., helping students make the most informed decision about their educa- tional futures. Stacy coaches hockey in his spare time.

Dave (BRSS’04) describes his university career as an amazing educational experience paired with some of the best memories of his life. From Fredericton, Dave has been a recruiter for five years at U First and is keen to further develop UNB’s relationships with key stakeholder groups in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador. Outside the world of recruitment, Dave is a fan of Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival and was named Coach of the Year in Fredericton’s Ultimate Frisbee League.

Scott Carter

Scott was born and raised in Rexton, NB. Coming from a small town, Scott knew right away that both UNB, and the city of Fredericton were the right fit for him. While at UNB, Scott was very involved in the residence community serving as both the president and a proctor in Harrison House. Outside of work, Scott enjoys playing sports, being involved in recreational softball and Frisbee leagues in Fredericton.

Pierre Martin

Growing up in Fredericton, Pierre experienced the excitement that UNB students bring to the city. Wanting to be part of the friendly university community, he chose to attend UNB and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011. Pierre is eager to share his UNB experience with francophone high schools in the Maritimes and Quebec. Outside of work, Pierre enjoys playing golf, hockey and tennis.

Stephanie Lord

Stephanie Lord (BA’10 BEd’11) arrived at UNB Fredericton from Ottawa having never stepped foot on the campus and instantly fell in love. While at UNB, Stephanie held numerous leadership positions and was also heavily involved with Reds Cheerleading in her final year on campus. Now back in Ottawa she serves as Ontario Recruitment Officer, she continues her UNB involvement as the UNB Ottawa Chapter Young Alumni President. She is eager to introduce students to the potential and opportunities that await them in Fredericton.

As a recent graduate, Stephanie is excited to travel across Canada and share her UNB experience with students and parents. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys practicing yoga, listening to music and cooking.

Kurtis enjoys finding new and creative methods to connect with prospective students and provide them with useful information about UNB. Outside of the office, Kurtis enjoys going to the gym, music, and biking.
