Check-In Day

Saturday, August 31, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Check-in for a Strong Start

Your orientation bracelet is your ticket to the Student Union Orientation eventsThis is check-in day for all new UNB students, whether you live in residence or off-campus, and it's key. It sets you up for a good beginning to your university career. You'll be organized, settled in, and know where to go for help throughout the year. And you'll feel more relaxed and confident by being on top of things, right from the start.

First Stop: The Student Union Building (SUB)

All Students: Go to the Student Union Building (SUB) Cafeteria and pick up your bracelet. This is your ticket to all of the Orientation social events hosted by the Student Union. Helpful staff and orientation leaders, also known as Red Shirts, will be on hand between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to help with the check-in process, give directions, and answer your questions.

Residence Students: Go to the Residential Life desk in the SUB cafeteria to complete your check-in paperwork and receive your residence keys. At your residence, the staff and orientation team will give you a schedule of house activities, help you settle in, and make you feel at home.

Off-Campus Students: Go to the Town House desk and pick up your Town House kit. Town House is a virtual residence for off-campus students. During Orientation Week while residence students are attending events hosted by their houses, you can attend events organized just for you.

Late arrivals: If you are living in residence and expect to arrive late to check in, please notify the Residence Office by phone (506-453-4800) or by e-mail. If you miss check-in hours at the Student Union Building, you may pick up your keys at the residence office on Check-in Day from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. or on Sunday, September 1st through to Monday, September 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Should you arrive after that, you may check in at the residence office from Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Late Town House arrivals should e-mail to make arrangements to pick up your kit and schedule of Town House Orientation events.

Students who miss Check-in Day can pick up an orientation bracelet at any of the Student Union Orientation events.
