The Nurse Educator program is now being offered to students on PEI as well as in New Brunswick at the following UNB sites

Stream composition
The Nurse Educator (NE) stream consists of 36 credit hours (10 required courses and 2 electives; which includes 5 courses common with other MN streams, 3 NE specific courses, 2 NE practicum courses with a total of 250 clinical hours).
Objective
To prepare Advanced Practice Nurses to provide education in health care agencies or communities and/or academic settings.
Electives
Students may choose electives offered by other Graduate Academic Units (GAU) with the permission of the Director of Graduate Studies of the GAU and permission of the faculty member teaching the course.
Certain courses offered in Education which have similar content to the required nursing education courses may not be taken as electives. The following courses are not eligible for electives: ED 6101 Curriculum Development, ED 6104 Curriculum Theory, ED 6106 Seminar in Teaching and Learning, ED 6116 Assessment and Learning, ED 6143 Adult Education: Origins and trends, ED 6144 Adult Learning, ED 6146 Methods and Strategies for Facilitating Adult Learning, ED 6221 Instructional Design Theories
