UNB Students Win Best Memorials at the 2010 Canadian round of the Jessup
The 2010 UNB Jessup team, composed of Devin Bray, Heather Bray and Patti Wheatley, received the coveted award for the best memorials (written submission) at the 2010 Canadian Round of the Jessup competition held last week in Toronto. Additionally, Devin Bray received the award for the 9th best oralist in the competition.
The 2010 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition addressed the right to self-determination and the lawfulness of measures taken to protect the economic resources of a State.
Special thanks goes to Kenny Chang, a member of the 2009 UNB Jessup team, who acted as a student advisor to the team this year.
The team's achievements are particularly notable, given that the UNB team of three individuals competed against 13 other leading law faculties whose teams were composed of four or five students.
