Employment Opportunities - Faculty Positions
The Faculty of Law invites applications for two tenure track positions at the Assistant level. The appointments, which are subject to budgetary approval, take effect on 1 July 2009. In exceptional circumstances an appointment at the Associate level might be made.
The Faculty welcomes applications from outstanding scholars of diverse perspectives and will consider an appointment in any field of expertise. The Faculty is looking for candidates who will enrich our strong program of research and contribute actively to the University community and beyond.
UNB’s Faculty of Law is a collegial community with a deep commitment to its 240 students. We pride ourselves on having one of the most structured LL.B. programs in Canada. All faculty members contribute to and are committed to sustaining our core curriculum which includes compulsory courses in all three years. The Faculty’s offices, teaching facilities and the Gérard V. La Forest Law Library are located together in an attractive setting in Ludlow Hall. The Hon. G.V. La Forest is distinguished scholar in residence. Founded in 1892, the Faculty is home to the UNB Law Journal/Revue de droit de l’U N-B. The Faculty is situated in the capital city of New Brunswick and offers many opportunities for collaborative work both inside and outside the University.
Candidates will have a strong academic record and will have or will be completing a graduate degree(s) in law or a related discipline. They will have a record of or potential for excellence in teaching and research. Applications will be assessed beginning 3 October 2008, although later applications may be considered.
