Nicole O’Byrne,  B.Sc. (Queen’s), B.A.(Hons.) (Regina), LL.B. (Saskatchewan), LL.M. (McGill) joined the faculty in 2009 as an Assistant Professor. 

She teaches Aboriginal Peoples and Law, Evidence Law, and Criminal Law.  Currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the University of Victoria’s Law and Society programme, her dissertation examines the effect of constitutionalized agreements on the rights of Aboriginal peoples. 

For her articles, she clerked at the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal.  She practised at a private firm in Regina and has worked for several years as a consultant for various organizations including Saskatchewan Justice. 

Her research interests include federalism, Aboriginal law and natural resources policy.
