Leah Theriault

B.Sc. (Toronto), J.D. (Toronto), LL.M. (UC Berkeley), S.J.D. (Toronto), of the Ontario Bar.

Leah Theriault joined the faculty as an assistant professor in 2010. In 2011, she was jointly awarded the Alan Marks Medal for best graduate thesis by the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. While finishing her thesis, she taught various intellectual property courses at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She has also lectured at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law and the Université de Sherbrooke, Faculté de Droit, and was a visiting scholar at the School of Information Management at UC Berkeley.

Her research interests focus on user innovation, contract law and bargaining behavior, and the influence that psychological ownership and trust have on various forms of cooperative and noncooperative behavior.

She currently teaches property law, community planning and leaseholds.
