John R. Williamson, Associate Dean
John R. Williamson, Associate Dean - BBA (UNB) 1971, LLB (UNB) 1973, LLM (Harvard) 1974. Called to the Bar of New Brunswick in 1973. He currently is serving as Associate Dean. Professor Williamson was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor in 1974, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1978, and Professor in 1985.
Professor Williamson has undertaken law reform projects for the Provinces of New Brunswick and Newfoundland relating to the law of enforcement of judgments. The law reform reports have included proposed draft legislation for the implementation of recommended reforms. Professor Williamson's primary teaching and research areas are Debtor-Creditor Law, Bankruptcy and Receivership, Commercial Law, and Economic Implications of Marriage and Divorce.
