KIN Camp - Taking Orientation Outdoors
Each year the Faculty of Kinesiology hosts a two-day orientation camping trip for incoming students. All new students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Kin Camp has been running for over 20 years and it just keeps getting better every year.
KIN Camp is one of the memories Kinesiology students brag about most. This unique experience allows you to meet faculty members, other new students, and your Peer Mentors while learning about the programs and services offered at UNB.
Want to know what it’s like to be a KIN student?
Our Peer Mentors will answer all your questions about student life at UNB. They are upper year KIN student volunteers, who come back year after to year to organize KIN Camp. They can offer suggestions on everything from course selection to campus activities to surviving exam anxiety.
Who’s who of faculty and staff
Dine with individual faculty and staff members and hear their stories and what they do in the Faculty. It’s a fun, informal way to get to know our faculty and staff members before classes begin.
The Great Kinesiology Challenge
KIN Camp concludes every year with The Great Kinesiology Challenge. Students are divided into teams and spend the final afternoon competing in outdoor events. The team with the most points wins bragging rights to the coveted Amby Legere Cup.
The Amby Legere Cup: Amby Legere was the first Campus Recreation Director for UNB’s Faculty of Physical Education.
