The Take H.E.A.R.T. program is 12 to 14-weeks of introductory-level physical activity (aerobic and strength conditioning) and healthy eating instruction in a group setting three days per week. The primary goal is to educate adults, 30 years of age or older, in adopting new lifestyle behaviours that can reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and cancers related to physical inactivity. Past participants of this award winning program have seen improvements in their health and daily functioning.
The Take H.E.A.R.T.
