Gain valuable work experience
Jump-start your career by taking advantage of our practicum courses and internships. You will work with professionals in your field, gaining valuable experience that will make you more attractive to employers. It’s also a great way to ‘try on’ your future career.
Whether you choose practicum courses, or a full-term internship, we will work with you to find a placement that aligns with your studies and your career plans. Please contact Greg Duquette, firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Practicum courses take you outside the classroom into an area of work related to your degree and your career interests. You may choose to job shadow a health care worker, volunteer as a personal trainer, help coach a sports team, or volunteer with a community agency. Practicum courses count as electives towards your undergraduate degree.
The Professional Internship program is an opportunity to gain real work experience while finishing your degree. You will intern with a professional agency in a position best suited to your career goals. The program counts as twelve credit hours toward your undergraduate degree, and is an unpaid, full-term, full-time placement.
