Prior Learning Assessment

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is a program run by the College of Extended Learning (CEL) whereby students can receive academic credit for experience gained outside the classroom. For example, a student, who entered the workforce after graduation and is now coming to UNB, could apply for academic credit for their work experience. Another student may have taken workshops, completed certificate programs, or volunteered with agencies.
