How to Apply

The best way to apply to the UNB Software Engineering degree program is through the UNB Online Application system.  This system makes sure that your application is tracked, and that people in the Software Engineering program know you have applied. At Step 2, when "Area of Study" is requested, please select "Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering", and select "Fredericton" for "Campus"

Once we receive your application, and you are accepted, we will contact you.  If you don't hear from us, please send us an e-mail.  We look forward to seeing you at UNB!  The admission requirements for the BScSwE degree program are found at the Admission Requirements web page.

Once you have applied, you should also apply for potential scholarships separately.  UNB has many scholarships, so please apply for them.  Once you have been accepted, and have decided UNB Software Engineering is the place for you, check out the excellent list of next steps to follow to make sure UNB knows you plan to attend, and to start your UNB Software Engineering degree program.

Campus Tours

Want to get a first-hand look at UNB Fredericton and the Faculties of Computer Science and Engineering? "Book a tour online". You'll see our classrooms, labs and student spaces, and meet with our Co-Op coordinator. You can even sit in on a class. Be sure to include 'Software Engineering' where the online form asks what program you are interested in, and mark the 'Meet with a program representative' checkbox!

How to Request Transfer Credit

  • To transfer marks from another organization for consideration as credit towards a UNB degree program, have the organization send an original transcript for the course(s) in a sealed envelope to
