Press release

Welcome to the Sustainable Forest CURA (Community-University Research Alliance), a collaborative partnership for sustainable forest management. We are a diverse group addressing issues of forest conservation, sustainability and public participation.

We thank the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) which has funded our collaborative through its community-university research alliances program.

We are pleased to highlight two reports completed on behalf of the FSC Working Group of the Sustainable Forest CURA. "Analysis of the Forest Stewardship Council Maritime Standard Stakeholder Survey Results" was completed by Sarah Murch (Spencer) in fulfillment of a Masters of Environmental Management degree. "Climate change and the FSC Canadian Maritimes Standard: A literature review of proposed climate change strategies in forestry and an analysis of their consistency with FSC Principles and Criteria" is a post-doctoral study by Dr. Nicole Klenk of the faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management at the University of New Brunswick.

We are pleased to offer videos on Vimeo of all our presentations from the Sustainable Forest CURA 2011-2012 seminar series. We would appreciate your feedback so please provide that on the Vimeo site where indicated. Thank you to all the presenters and supporters of the series.
