Our Centennial

In 2008 forestry at UNB celebrated its 100th year, and its many graduates. Celebrations started in the fall of 2007 when a large centennial sign was installed in front of the Forestry and Geology building (right), and finished in December 2008 with a Christmas tree on the portico of the same building. In between, we held a number of events, including a kick-off reception at the Wu Centre, a homecoming weekend, a corn maze (see picture), a student barbecue, tree plantings, and many more. For those who couldn't attend or participate in Fredericton, we took the celebrations to them in a number of cities and communities across Canada (see pictures).
We have created a short movie that shows every Centennial event. Have a look to see what we did in 2008.
We also have some centennial clothing and books still available for purchase. All items are priced including taxes; shipping and handling is extra. Send orders to forem@unb.ca
