Student Activities
Groups and Organizations
Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering Society (ECSES) and IEEE Student Society
Welcome to all Electrical, Computer and Software undergraduate students! Whether you are a volunteer or a participant, gather with your peers and be part of your student organizations.
UNB Robotics Competition
16 teams from across Canada compete head-to-head for the grand prize in an exciting and educational engineering challenge at the annual UNB Robotics Competition which is hosted by Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The diversity of competitors and the "Weekend-long" format make for a new and exciting experience year after year. University, college and high school students, as well as any member of the community can participate. You don't have to be an engineering guru to join!
Association of Electrical Engineering Graduate Students (AEEGS)
AEEGS is a departmental chapter of the Graduate Student Association and is comprised of all graduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. AEEGS functions as a “mini social club” and organizes industrial tours, free BBQs and lunches, various activities (such as curling or TreeGo), information sessions, and the occasional meet-and-greet. AEEGS also serves to keep ECE grad students apprised of any important functions or policy changes on campus which could affect you.
Come visit your representatives at one of the many events that happen throughout the year! Look for AEEGS news and event notices on the ECE Web site.
International Exchange Programs
Exchange program in Jordan
The University of New Brunswick (UNB) and the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) have signed an Exchange Agreement to foster a strong relation between the two institutions. This plan has been carefully designed to give a Canadian experience to students from PSUT and a Jordanian experience to students from UNB.
The Exchange program in Jordan specifically applies to the UNB Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Faculty of Computer Science (FCS).
