Research Interests:
  • Evaluation of Asphalt Concrete Pavement Design Software for Application in New Brunswick. Current flexible pavement design in New Brunswick is largely empirically based with limited use of current mechanistic design methods. The above project evaluated several software packages for the design of flexible pavements. Some historical work has been done on instrumented sites in the Province and laboratory work on the structural response of several pavement sections under simulated traffic load.
  • Evaluation of quality control testing variability for use in the implementation of End Result Specifications in New Brunswick.
  • Feasibility study of replacing Falling Weight Deflectometer data with Dynoflect test results through correlations of the two devices.
  • Applications of Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) to Planning of Seasonal Weight Restrictions for Secondary Highways in New Brunswick.
