Deferred exams

For all courses offered by the Department of Civil Engineering, deferred exams will be written on one of three predetermined dates, as follows:

  • Students deferring an exam in any civil engineering course in the fall term will write the deferred exam on the first Saturday after the start of classes in January. (Jan. 13, 2024)
  • Students deferring an exam in any civil engineering course in the winter term will write the deferred exam on the first Saturday after the start of intersession classes. (May 4, 2024)
  • Students deferring an exam in any civil engineering course in the summer session will write the deferred exam on the first Saturday after the start of classes. (Sept. 7, 2024)

Exams will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday. If you have deferred more than one exam you will write the second exam at 2 p.m. of the same day, with additional exams written in the evenings (7 p.m.) of the following week, beginning on Monday evening and continuing with one exam each evening until all deferred exams are completed. In all cases of multiple deferred exams, the Department shall decide which specific exams are written in which timeslot.

It may be necessary for you to write a deferred exam in a time slot other than the first one available.
