Co-operative Engineering Education

Did you know that the University of New Brunswick Engineering has a co-op program that can help you test drive potential careers in engineering?

Participation in co-op exposes you to a professional work environment and provides the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a workplace. Upon return to the classroom you continue to develop the skills and knowledge required in the workplace and further evaluate your career possibilities.

After joining the co-op program we will challenge you to think about, what you are good at, what are some of your key skills, what you really enjoy doing and what is important to you.

The answers to these questions will help us determine which co-op opportunities are right for you.

Our co-op employers include, for example, Bird ConstructionHydro One, Imperial Oil, Irving Oil, J.D. Irving Limited, MakatecMcCain Foods (Canada)Michelin CanadaNB PowerOcean SteelProcter & Gamble, ShellSuncor, and Syncrude.

These and our other co-op partners allow the workplace to become an extension of classroom and laboratory instructions. And, as such, co-op adds a unique dimension your learning and preparation for entering your chosen engineering career.

The engineering co-op team is happy to help you.
