Professional Practice

My current funded research explores violence in the lives of youth using participatory action research and arts-based inquiry.  I present my work at regional, national and international conferences, and my work is published in scholarly journals, e.g., the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, Gender and Education, the Canadian Journal of Education, and various edited collections.  I work on various committees, including the Graduate Studies Curriculum Committee and the PhD Review Committee.  I help organize the Faculty/Student Work in Progress Sessions as well as public events and presentations.  I am a Board Member of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research, and the UNB Sexuality Centre.  In addition, I am Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies, Interdisciplinary Programs.
