MEd in Exceptional Learners

Insightful. Pioneering. Inspiring. Committed.

Education professionals that are passionate about improving and facilitating the learning experience for exceptional learners are just as passionate  about improving the methods and models they use to build knowledge.

Our MEd in Exceptional Learners is designed for those educational professionals who intend to further advance their knowledge and application of inclusionary methods. These students will develop an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of exceptional learners and evidence-based approaches that enrich their learning environment.

Particular attention is given to educational approaches that emphasize collaboration, consultation, strength-based and universal design methods.

Applicants to the MEd Exceptional Learners are required to hold a Bachelor of Education degree or its equivalent, with a grade point average of at least 3.0 (B, or its equivalent); and are expected to have at least one year of teaching or related professional experience. Applicants are expected to possess a background in the specialized area(s) of study to which they are applying; if not, makeup courses will be required.
