MEd in Adult Education

Adult Education, which includes Higher and Distance Education, prepares students to develop, implement, facilitate or administer programs and services for adults in the private and public sectors.

Applicants to the MEd in Adult Education are required to hold a four-year undergraduate degree with a grade point average of at least 3.0 (B, or equivalent), and must have the equivalent of two years of full-time practical experience working in relevant aspects of adult education.

Research in the area includes the history of adult education in Canada, theories of adult learning, critical reflective practice, evaluation studies, instructor preparation, the use of distance technologies, and teaching in higher education.
