The Central Booking Office (CBO) provides a convenient, one-stop-shop service for faculty, staff and students (internal clients) needing to reserve bookable space on behalf of a Portfolio or Envelope, to conduct University business.

 

Request Space 

The priority use of space at UNB is for academic credit courses. Once academic scheduling is complete, the CBO is mandated to facilitate access to bookable space for the following groups:

  1. UNB Faculty & Staff
  2. Ratified Student Groups
  3. External Clients

The CBO accepts space requests throughout the year however in order to prioritize academic use of space, the following schedule determines how far in advance a request can be confirmed:

  • Auditoriums: UNB has eight (8) well-appointed, contemporary auditoriums with seating capacities ranging from 150-363.
  • Classrooms: A wide range of multi-functional classrooms with seating capacites between 6 and 150 are available for a variety of events.
  • Special Event Space: A diverse selection of special event space is available at UNB including meeting/conference facilites, dining rooms, atriums, ballrooms, athletic facilities and much more.
  • Outdoor Space: UNB's green space is outstanding, and a number of picturesque outdoor venues are available across campus for open-air events.

Work up an appetite! UNB's food service provider, Sodexo, led by Executive Chef, Leanne English, create exquisite food for any and all occasions. Buffets, served dinners, bar services, and receptions are some of the services provided by our team. Contact us today to build your perfect event menu!

Facilities Management

Typically, space is booked on an "as is" basis and should be returned to original configuration. Ample assistance is available for special room sets, additional furniture & equipment as well as post event re-sets and clean-up.

Ad Astra room scheduling software is UNB’s solution for the management of space on both the UNBF and UNBSJ campuses.

  • Space is on an "as is" basis

  • Room must be returned to original configuration. A fee may be charged if extra cleaning or re-set is required after use

  • The majority of classrooms, auditoriums and meeting rooms are equipped with built-in technology. If you require assistance, contact avbooking@unb.ca or 506.458.7662

  • Auditoriums range in seating capacities between 150-363

  • Tiered and non-tiered classrooms range in seating capacities between 6-150

  • Meeting rooms range from basic meeting space with limited amenities, to premier meeting space

The CBO is mandated (and happy) to assist faculty, staff and students to access space and to recover reasonable costs/generate revenue.
