Educational Technology

There are a wide variety of technological tools that, appropriately used, can enhance your students’ educational experience. CETL’s Instructional Technology Specialists, Emily Clark and Kevin Cormier, can help you select appropriate technology based on pedagogical goals. They also offer educational technology training, support, and advice on best practices.

The learning management system Desire2Learn can be used as a secure course website where you post course documents, set up online assignment submission, class discussions, group projects, and tests. Contact Kevin Cormier for assistance.

The Instructional Technologies Lab houses hardware and software for you to explore and is a space where instructors can learn about and experiment with instructional technologies, build course materials, receive training, and practice using classroom technology without the pressure of an audience. Contact Emily Clark to book an orientation session in the lab.

Our team also works with other initiatives on campus including the President's Steering Committee on Disruptive Technology.
