Nominate for a Teaching Award

Great teachers will only get recognized if someone takes the time to nominate them.  Some awards are set up for student nominations, and some from their colleagues or Dean.  We hope that you take the time to help us celebrate great teaching.  Even just being nominated is an encouragement and a pat on the back, so please nominate a professor who deserves to be noticed for their teaching excellence.

Student Nominations

Allan P. Stuart Award for Excellence in Teaching – the nomination form must be submitted by December 31 each year to CETL.  The senate Teaching Awards Committee (TAC) reviews these and recommends up to two winners annually.

UNBSU Excellence in Teaching Award – this is organized and run by the UNB Student Union, and recognizes one teacher annually. A notice is sent out in March with the information and nomination form.

Faculty/Dean Nominations

Neil Scott Educational Leadership Award – must be nominated by a Dean or Chair, and the nomination information and supporting documents must be submitted by Feb 1 each year.

If you have any further questions or suggestions, please contact CETL at 453-4744.
