Teaching and Learning Services exists to provide resources to UNB faculty to help them enhance their students' learning experience at UNB. Reso
urces include:
- Annual funding for instructional projects to allow faculty to experiment with new teaching methods;
- Hosting seminars and workshops about teaching and learning techniques;
- Materials showing how to design active learning techniques that appeal to a broad range of student learning styles;
- Publications on the scholarship of teaching and learning;
- Sponsoring a course on teaching methods that leads to a diploma (Diploma in University Teaching - DUT);
- Support for the use of Blackboard Learning Management System;
- Support for curriculum development;
- Support for the Student Engagement Wiki, a collaborative repository of ideas on how to engage students;
- Support for the National Survey of Student Engagement, which identifies UNB's strength and opportunities for improving student engagement;
- Providing access to free visuals for instructional purposes.
We also support the UNB's Teaching Awards Program by participating on selection committees and providing admiistrative support.
