Resources for Academic Advisors
This is the repository of tools for academic advisors. This collection of resources provides you with some of the tools to help with your advising sessions. As we continue to build upon and enhance advising at UNB this will become a comprehensive set of theoretical and practical resources.
Research & Theory
- The Centre for Enhanced Teaching and Learning (CETL) houses the Teaching and Learning Services Library which includes a number of publications directly related to Academic Advising.
- The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) hosts an extensive clearinghouse of articles on more than 250 academic advising topics.
Frameworks
- Interaction Framework - A guide for managing interactions with supporters asking for confidential information.
- Responsibilities Framework - This framework is the backbone of advising--it sets out the goals of advising at UNB and provides a set of responsibilities for the advisor and the student.
