Teaching Computer Lab
Features:
- 18 student position networked Macintosh lab for interactive computer instruction.
- Instructor's position equipped with individual instructor security, DVD/CD-ROM drive, VHS VCR, scanner, external speakers and data projector.
- 2 student accessibility stations
- All computers supplied with the most commonly used multimedia production software, FireWire connections, and CD/DVD burning capabilities.
Booking:
- The lab is booked on a first-come, first-served basis through the Media Lab office, EMC 234 (email or phone 7660). Any requests for special software or hardware should be made with the booking.
- The lab may be booked by a course instructor for term use. For example:
"Every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am." - Single-session bookings should be made at least one week in advance so that the lab may be properly prepared, including the accommodation of any special software requirements.
Open Lab Use:
The lab will be available for student use during normal hours when it is not booked for classes. Training in the use of software or hardware may be arranged in advance through the Media Lab staff.
Prices:
There is no charge for lab usage for credit courses; however, the following charges will apply for Lab Rental (workshops, etc.)
