Create and Edit Audio/Video

Our media lab staff can help you plan your upcoming audio/video project and advise you on the right equipment.  The lab is equipped with software to assist you in capturing, editing and preparing the final form of your original audio and video footage.  Edit your video with iMovie or Final Cut Express.  We can help you save your digital output to the required format such as avi, mp4, DVD, wmv or Flash.

We support video shot with cameras loaned out from CETL's Equipment Services.  We cannot guarantee support of other cameras although we will make every effort to do so.

The Media Lab can make video duplications to DVD from the following formats:

  • video/audio editing lab in Media LabVHS tape
  • 8mm digital tape
  • mini DV tape
  • DVD
  • Blu-Ray

All copyright laws are strictly adhered to.  We will not copy any material for which you do not hold the copyright or have documented permission to duplicate from the copyright holder.  Please see UNB Libraries copyright page for further information.

At the Lab you can convert audio cassettes into digital files for transfer to Mp3s or CDs.  You can create and edit original audio/music using digital desktop audio editing programs such as GarageBand, Sound Studio and Pro Tools.
