Categories of Smart Classrooms

Category 1: Data Projection Classroom

• Fixed (ceiling mounted) data projector
• Wall Screen
• Internet connection
• Sound system (via projector or ceiling speakers)
• Control system (either IR remote control or installed Crestron button panel)
• Lock box with cables and remote control (if required)

Category 2: Interactive Whiteboard Classroom

• All items included in Level 1 classroom (Interactive White Board includes fixed data projector)
• Interactive whiteboard (e.g. Smartboard)

Category 3: Multimedia Console Classroom

• All items included in Level 1 classroom
• Teaching Console with:
  • Computer
  • Document camera
  • DVD player
  • VCR

Category 4: Lecture Theatre, Multimedia Console Classroom

• All items included in Level 1 & 3
• Microphone - wireless lapel and/or hand held  

Category 5: Special Use Multimedia Classroom

• May have any combination of accessibility features plus Level 1-4 features.
• Exact room features will vary.
