What is Economics?

Economics is a way of thinking. It entails describing economic events, explaining why they occur, predicting whether they might occur in the future, and recommending appropriate course of action to policy-makers.

Your BBA in Economics will provide you with core courses in microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory and statistics. Honours students are also required to complete courses in mathematical economics, econometrics and advanced theory. The program is designed to provide a grounding in the fundamentals of economics and to introduce students to modern economic issues and problems. It is especially appropriate for those students wishing to pursue graduate studies or employment in economics.
