The University of New Brunswick Faculty of Arts Internship creates placement opportunities for undergraduate students to work with local non-profit organizations and community partners. These placements provide students with a meaningful practical experience that also has significant pedagogical value in its ability to help develop their academic, professional, and personal skills.
The Arts Internship is available to all students who have declared an Arts major or Honours program (Anthropology, Archaeology, Classics, Classical Studies, German, German Studies, Economics, Economic Studies, English, French, History, Multimedia Studies/Media Arts & Cultures, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Spanish, World Literature and Culture Studies, as well students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Arts program).
Student eligibility is based on the following criteria:
- Registration as a UNB undergraduate Arts student.
- Completion of Years I and II of the student’s degree program, or 60 ch, by the start of the internship term.
- Approval from the Faculty of Arts Internship Committee.
- A GPA of 2.7 or higher in the student’s major or Honours program.
